Edward 40 Hands rules poster

Click on the image or click here to purchase

This poster lists the rules of Edward 40 hands and has a drawing depicting each rule. The full sized poster is 16" x 20" and does not contain the word sample on it. The rules say:

·
Start with one 40 duct taped to each hand with appendages disabled.

·
If you decide to suck at life… you may have one 40 and the other hand must be taped shut.

·
Both 40’s must be opened with your mouth.

·
You may only go to the bathroom after you finish both 40’s. You may go if you are assisted only by someone that has finished.

·
You heave… you leave…

Tiny iPod speakers - Pocket Party

These are the coolest iPod speakers I have seen thus far. Hopefully they sound good. They do run on 1 AA battery though, but they get 10 hours of use. Unfortunately its from a British site for £25 (something like $43.51 US). That is a little pricey, but most iPod speakers run closer to $100, but they probably sound better. If someone in the US could market these for $19.99, I think they'd be a hit. Oh yeah, it works on all dockable iPods.

Power Hour video - made by me

I thought I would share my power hour video I created last April. The basic rule of a Power Hour is that you take one shot of beer every minute for one hour. So theoretically (using a 1 ounce glass), you should consume 5 cans, but it usually ends up more. This video helps out a lot with being bored during the process. A music video will change every minute to notify you to take the next shot. I am in the process of compiling a new version that will have a little more thought to it. The current video contains the most random music ever and I apologize for that. Throw in some music suggestions and some feedback in the comments so I can put them in the next video. Enjoy!

Apple awarded cool touchscreen patent - new ipod?

Apple has been awarded this really cool touchscreen patent that is springing up a lot of rumors. It all started with the mention that Apple is supposed to make some sort of announcement next week. There patent mentions the use of multiple fingers on the screen. After this announcement this photo of a new iPod began circulating. You can't tell too well on this image, but another image shows that it is clearly photoshopped.

The solar system no longer has nine planets?

So there will either be a tenth planet or Pluto is getting kicked out?

"February 8, 2006 Since 1930 when American Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto, schoolchildren have been taught that Planet Earth is one of nine planets which orbit the sun, and that Pluto is the outermost planet in the solar system. Then last July 30, an American team found a more distant and quite large object circling the sun some 15 billion kilometers beyond earth. Dubbed UB313, an enormous debate has erupted over whether it should be classified as the tenth planet."

Bootleg (aka bastard pop) music - sweet

This stuff is actually pretty sweet. I haven't heard much of a new type of music in a while... But you got to hear some of this stuff. At first you might just think these songs are just techno remixes... But it's beyond that. These are geniusly planned out.

"Digital Journal -- I'’m sick of The Beatles. No one gets more airtime than John, Paul, George and Ringo, and after years of playing "“Hey Jude"” the band got boring. So how can the most prolific act reinvent itself? By releasing a hip-hop album, of course.

Okay, maybe the Fab Four didn'’t lay down their own beats, but in 2004 New York DJ Danger Mouse took the vocals from Jay-Z'’s The Black Album and combined it with music from The Beatles'’ White Album to create The Grey Album. This "“new"” record breathed life into an aging LP and helped bring the bootlegging -—- or mash-up --— genre to the mainstream. "

One billion page views

Some random (but smart) guy is trying to reach one million unique page views to a website in order to win a £1000 bet. The catch is that he is not allowed to advertise the site in any form. Others may advertise for him, but he can't ask them to do so. I think it is doable, but it will probably take about 3-4 years on my prediction.

Inventor develops "artificial gills"

Now everybody can be aquaman! Some Israeli inventor created a gill like breathing system for underwater use.

"Called 'LikeAFish', the battery-powered artificial gill system aims to extract the small amounts of dissolved air that already exists in water to supply breathable oxygen to scuba divers, submarines and underwater habitats."

Pak court hands out hand-hacking punishment!

This is how the law should be written. They got what they deserved.

"Lahore: Six people who seven years ago hacked off the limbs of four people have been ordered by the additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Badardin at Kasur to undergo the same punishment along with a 54-year collective imprisonment, besides paying a fine of 100000 rupees."

iPod nano as 1GB?

"Take everything you love about iPod and shrink it. Now shrink it again. With 1GB (240 songs), 2GB (500 songs) and 4GB (1,000 songs) models starting at $149, the pencil-thin iPod nano packs the entire iPod experience into an impossibly small design. So small, it will take your music places you never dreamed of."

I think 1GB for music is pretty useless... but at least the stupid shuffle is getting phased out.

FON: Interesting WiFi concept

I came across this interesting thing called FON... It's an interesting concept to allow free WiFi everywhere. I guess its not technically free. You are only allowed to access this WiFi if you also share a portion of your own broadband for other "foneros" as a wireless hotspot. The interesting thing is that there won't be a bunch of free loaders on your router because they can't access your router unless they have there own server as well. As of today, Google is actually a funder of this. This description taken from the FON website might make it a little more clear:

FON is a Global Community of people who share WiFi. Share your WiFi broadband access at home/work and enjoy WiFi all over the world! FON: small cost, great benefit!

To become a Fonero, all you need to do is register with us on our website, have broadband connection, and download the FON Software onto your WiFi router. It'’s that simple. Just share your connection and the rest of the Community shares back with you. Join FON and enjoy connecting from anywhere within the WiFi World.

To start sharing, set up your access point where you can receive the most coverage, generally close to the window or outside your home. The rest of the Community will be thankful.
